Shopping With Your Pup

The best locally owned and operated pet stores for high quality pet supplies.

There are many convenient places to pick up pet supplies throughout the city. Here, we want to highlight some of the locally owned shops in Philadelphia that go above and beyond to provide great products and customer service. We highly recommend you check these out if they are in your neighborhood. With so many, we certainly can’t claim to know all the locally owned pet shops in the city, so if we missed your favorite send us an email with some of the details and we will add it in the next update!

Amelie's Bark Shop

1544 E Passyunk Ave

http://www.barkshopbakery.com/

(267) 758-6151

We love Amelie’s Bark Shop! Pepper can’t walk down Passyunk without dragging me to the store, and she loves the home-made biscuits they make. Plus, they make custom cookies for Pups On Passyunk! Jackie opened the store after online success selling her home-baked dog treats online. They focus on eco-friendly products and packaging and make great (based on Pepper’s reaction, not an actual taste test) home-made treats. In addition to homemade treats, they stock goods made by local makers using sustainable and recycled materials. This is pretty much our go to shop for treats, toys, and more.

The Pet Snobs Boutique

534 S. 4th Street

https://www.thepetsnobs.com

(215) 922-7662

Dara and Jaci started the company in the heart of Queen Village to bring high quality dog food, cat food, and products to local pet owners. They hand-pick each product and care deeply for animals of all shapes and sizes, so they select and provide only the very best. They carry a variety of pet products, and they also provide grooming services and cat sitting. They will even help with special orders.

BONeJOUR Pet Supply is located in Old City and carries a broad range of pet supplies. They also have a DIY Dog Wash, where you get to use their facilities to give your dog a bath.
