Dog walking in Society Hill & Old City

We walk one-on-one on weekdays in Society Hill, with a primary walker who gets to know your dog, your home, and your routine. We’re also adding walks in Old City again, starting with the blocks closest to Society Hill.

  • Employee walkers, not contractors
  • Front desk key pickup
  • Photos and the GPS route after every walk

A few of our regular routes

Each walk is planned around your dog, and your visit report includes a GPS map of where you went.

6th & Walnut

Washington Square

A loop of the square fits easily into a 20- or 30-minute walk, and leashed dogs are welcome. It gets busy around lunch, so dogs stay close and keep to the paths.

Good for: Shorter walks and dogs who like a little activity

St. Peter’s Way & St. Joseph’s Way

The walkways

The pedestrian walkways between blocks take dogs off the street for part of the walk, which helps dogs who get nervous around traffic.

Good for: Dogs who are nervous around cars and buses

Spruce, Pine & Lombard

The residential blocks

Brick sidewalks and Belgian block streets are uneven in spots, so with puppies and older dogs we slow down and stick to the smoother stretches.

Good for: Older dogs and slow sniffers

Old City, a few blocks at a time

We walked a lot of dogs in Old City before 2020, around Independence Hall and Washington Square, and we’d like to again. We’re adding Old City walks gradually, starting with the blocks closest to Society Hill, so whether we can help depends on your block and the times you need.

Tell us where you are. If we can’t fit you in yet, we’ll say so and suggest other options.

Townhouses and doorman buildings

Keys and access work differently in a townhouse than in a high-rise, so we set them up around your home at the meet & greet.

Townhouses

Most of our townhouse clients use a smart lock or a lockbox. If we keep a key, it’s stored safely and never with anything that shows your address.

A back gate, a gate on the stairs, where the towels are for muddy paws: those go in your dog’s care notes, so any walker who comes has them.

High-rises and condos

If your building has a front desk, we can pick up your keys there and return them after the walk. Walkers follow the building’s rules for signing in and using the elevator, and a wait at the desk can take a few minutes out of the walk.

We don’t take dogs into public dog parks. If your building has its own dog area, we can use it if you want.

Who walks your dog

Once your weekly schedule is set, we pair you with a primary walker who does most of your walks and learns your dog’s habits.

When your walker is off, out sick, or unavailable, our scheduling team sends another trained walker with your dog’s care notes and access details, and you still get the report, notes, and photos. If your walker leaves us, we’ll match you with a new primary walker.

The more regular your schedule, the more consistent your walker will be. Every walker is our own employee: background-checked, trained by us, and insured.
