How Much Does a Dog Walker Cost in Philadelphia?
The short answer: in Center City and South Philly, a 30-minute weekday walk on a regular weekly schedule costs $22 to $26 with us, depending on how many walks you book each week. Most of our clients pay between $20 and $26 a walk. The numbers below are our published rates as of October 2026; the Prices page always has the current ones.

What changes the price
How long the walk is. Twenty minutes covers a bathroom break and a short loop. Thirty gives a young or active dog more time and attention. Sixty is for dogs with energy to burn.
How many walks you book each week. On a regular schedule, the rate drops as you add walks: one or two a week is the top price tier, five or more the lowest.
Regular or occasional. Walks that repeat every week cost less because they're easier to plan staffing. Occasional walks are priced at the higher rate.
When the walk happens. Weekend walks and walks before 10 a.m. or after 5 p.m. add $6 for 30 minutes or $8 for 60. Holidays add $8 to $12.
A second dog from the same household adds $2 to $4 a walk.
A tighter arrival window. Our standard window is three hours. A two-hour window for a midday walk is $4 more, since we need to plan schedules and routes around those restrictions.
What that adds up to in a week
30-minute walks Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 3 × $24 = $72 a week
A 30-minute walk every weekday: 5 × $22 = $110 a week
Two 20-minute walks every weekday: 10 × $16 = $160 a week
Two 30-minute walks every weekday: 10 × $20 = $200 a week
Why dog walking prices vary so much in Philadelphia
You'll see a wide range of prices, and most of the gap comes down to who the walker is and who carries the costs.
App walkers (Rover, Wag and similar) are independent contractors who set their own rates, and the app takes a cut. If your walker is unavailable, you generally book someone new through the app.
Independent walkers run their own small business. You usually get the same person, and coverage when they're sick or away depends on their own arrangements.
Companies with employee walkers, like us, pay payroll taxes, workers' compensation and insurance, and train and supervise every walker. That costs more to run than a contractor model.
What the higher rate pays for with us: a primary walker who learns your dog's routine, a trained team that covers time off and sick days, and one office to call when something comes up.

Before you choose
Price matters, but the questions that matter most are about who's walking your dog and what happens on the days they can't. We wrote up what to ask before hiring a Philadelphia dog walker, including the questions we'd want answered ourselves.
We walk in Rittenhouse & Fitler Square, Society Hill & Old City, Bella Vista & Queen Village and East Passyunk. See how our walks work or start with a free meet & greet. If you'd rather talk first, call (267) 571-9373.
